Crowne Plaza Paris Republique by IHG

I had a lovely stay. The hotel offers the usual useful room amenities, including a kettle, ironing board, safe, and small drinks fridge. Breakfast had the usual hot and cold choices, with coffee, tea, and juices, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception area is bright and welcoming, with workspaces and a little shop for snacks, drinks, and small personal items. There's a covered entrance, too. The metro is right outside, and Gare du Nord is less than 10 minutes away on Line 5. My room faced the front and got a bit noisy at night. That's expected in the heart of Paris, and the hotel provides earplugs. If you're a light sleeper, ask whether a room away from the front is available.

The rooms and amenities feel dated, more like they've seen a few decades of travelers than like charming antiques. Renovations seem to be underway, though, and the place is clean and everything works. The location makes getting around Paris easy, whether you're walking, taking the métro, or just wandering. Inside, it's spotlessly clean, with an enjoyable breakfast that might keep you for an extra croissant. The bar and restaurant are pleasant, and I loved the little shop for water, snacks, or a late-night impulse buy. This isn't a flashy hotel, but it's a practical, comfortable base with great energy and a superb location. I'd recommend it and come back without hesitation. When the renovations are done, it could be even better.

Joyce, Shane, and Naomi from the breakfast team made every morning start well. They were welcoming, kind, and attentive, and I want to thank them especially. I spent two nights at the Crowne Plaza Paris République and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are roomy and comfortable, and its spot directly opposite the metro station makes it very easy to get around Paris. I'll definitely return.

Breakfast was included for us as IHG diamond elite members, and it was very good, with a nice range of quality food. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are dated, though, and the bathroom really needs a full redo. The shower pressure was awful and the hot water only lukewarm. The location is fantastic, right next to the train exit, with access to the whole city. There are a lot of homeless people around the hotel, but the area is lively and there is plenty of walking and exploring to do. Overall, we had a very good stay and definitely recommend it.
