Hôtel Dupond Smith

The staff were lovely and kind, and the location is fantastic. There’s plenty of shopping, coffee shops, bakeries and dining right nearby. I recommend Noir fkr coffee, and JaJa was a great dinner. Still, I probably wouldn’t stay again. For a hotel presented as five star, the room didn’t feel that way at all, more like a three star, and it was disappointing for the price. The shower had moldy caulking, its head was in disrepair, and the furniture was dinged up. The bed was pretty hard, too. We didn’t raise it with the staff during our four nights because the things that needed fixing weren’t something they could change while we were there. I’m sharing this in case it helps someone deciding where to stay.

Nicolas and Christophe made our stay at Hotel Dupond Smith feel like being at home in the Marais. Christophe helped us through check-in and checkout and was extremely kind. Nicolas was at the desk for most of our visit, and we can’t say enough good things about him. My mother hurt her knee in the city, and Nicolas clearly cared and wanted to help her recover however he could. He turned what could have been a horrible experience into one that was still wonderful. The people working here are what make this such a great place. We look forward to seeing you again, Nicolas and Christophe!

Our suite worked well for four, with our two little kids sharing the pullout couch. The hotel’s service was perfect, and the location made it easy to get to everything on our Paris wishlist. I’d recommend adding the breakfast service, too. We had an incredible stay at Dupond-Smith and will definitely return on our next Paris trip.

We stayed ten nights, and this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in more than 80 years. The Marais location is right in the heart of things but tucked off the main streets, so it stays quiet. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well cared for, with a large, well-equipped bathroom and a comfortable bed. The people were exceptionally nice and knowledgeable. Stay here, even if the cost is a stretch.
