Exe Panorama Paris

Several of my things went missing from my room during my stay. We asked to speak to the general manager and got no response at all. It’s outrageous how unhelpful and incompetent the managers were about something this serious. I’ve seen that this has happened before, and I intend to make sure it’s the last time. I’ll put my efforts into getting this establishment shut down.

The hotel was lovely and well located, with clean, spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast. The staff were polite and helpful, especially Ahmed, who gave exceptional service.

The room was spotless, and we had a minibar and safe. There’s a lift, the reception staff were lovely, and the location was wonderful, close to restaurants, shops and the Metro. Just stay alert when walking around, since pickpocketing is common in Paris. We were told rooms there tend to be small, but ours was really very small. There was no bathroom door, so you’ll want to know your roommate well. Storage for clothes was limited too. The room had no tea or coffee making facilities and no English TV channels, so bring an iPad or use your phone if you want to watch English programmes. With a bit of care, you can still have a great visit in this beautiful city.

We did drink one bottle of water, and eventually paid the reduced charge of €4.50. But it took a long time to get there, and the whole episode left us uncomfortable and put a shadow over the end of our first trip to Paris. Several hours after we checked out, while we were out enjoying the day, the front desk called about a Coke and a KitKat from the minibar. We hadn’t taken or consumed either, and I said we were happy to pay for anything we had actually used. The receptionist also said the water bottle in the room wasn’t complimentary, though its “thank you for visiting” label had reasonably made it seem that way. When I asked for the bill, they quoted €13.50 for a 50cl bottle, listed only as “minibar,” with no clear price shown or shared with us beforehand. That seemed shockingly high. I kept explaining that we’d only had the water, and eventually they lowered the charge to €4.50, which we paid. We stayed one night at Exe Panorama. It began well: staff kindly stored our luggage before check-in and the room was decent. They specifically asked for an honest review. Management should look at its procedures, since this seemed to come from a mistake on their end, and minibar prices need to be clearer.
