Folkestone Opéra

The staff really made the stay. Everyone at reception was warm, polite, and helpful, especially Ghani and Farouq, who gave us such welcoming service. The hotel sits among shops and restaurants, but the streets get quiet and feel safe in the evening. Public transport is easy to reach, and plenty of sights are walkable. Our room was small, as you’d expect in Paris, but it was very clean and tidied every day. We could hear more between rooms than we’d have liked.

We had a pleasant, friendly stay and would come back. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel is charming, with an unbeatable location. We could walk to Roissybus, the opera, several metro and bus stops, Gare St. Lazare, restaurants, and the big department stores. A few things kept it from five stars. Two people had confirmed the specific room we requested, but it wasn’t available, though the room we got was very nice. There was no hot water around 10:30 one morning because of routine maintenance. I’m not complaining about the work itself, but we could have been told the night before so we could shower earlier. The elevator also lurched and stopped unexpectedly on the fifth floor a couple of times, which made us nervous.

The rooms were impeccably clean and the location was amazing. I had a fantastic stay, made memorable by the outstanding service from Mr. Sami and Ms. Laima! 🇬🇧🇧🇭

Great location, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. Farouk at reception deserves a special thank you for his excellent support. He arranged an early check-in for us, which made the stay much more comfortable.
