Fleur De Paris

The reception area was disgusting and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, as the pictures show. I booked a family room with a double bed, but was given a windowless room with a bunk bed instead. They said they’d give me a partial refund, so I stayed, but it never came. A complete dump. Avoid it.

The bunk beds were the biggest problem. They felt cheap, and even small movements from the person above or below came through the bed. The place also wasn’t very clean. It was listed on Booking as having air conditioning, but I guess that meant an open window. When I arrived, nobody was there. I had to work out that I should call a number and wait. The welcome was cold, and I was told I had to pay cash rather than by card. Those were minor issues, but the rest made this poor value for money. I only chose it because it was the closest option to where I needed to be early the next morning. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The towels were about the size of table napkins, and instead of proper sheets there was only a blanket. It didn’t feel clean, and I honestly don’t know when anything was last cleaned, if it gets cleaned at all. It was cheap, but you get what you pay for, I suppose. I won’t stay there again. It also gave me the impression of an undeclared, clandestine hotel. They should be ashamed to rent rooms like this.

I didn’t enjoy staying at this hostel. They put me in a bad room, and when I asked to move to a different bed in another room, they wanted extra money. Also, the door closes at night. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
