Golden Tulip Washington Opéra

We found the room setup we needed here: one room for three people with three separate beds, plus another for two. Other hotels we checked offered a sofa bed instead. Our family of four adults and one 10-year-old was visiting Paris as tourists, so the small rooms weren’t a big issue since we were mostly out at museums, shops, and walking around the city. The location is right in the center, near the Louvre, shops, and bistros. Staff were very welcoming, especially at the front desk, and ready to answer questions. Service was at a high level. We had a good experience choosing Golden Tulip Hotel Washington Opera Hotel, and I’d recommend it to friends and relatives.

Manon at the front desk was a huge help on Jan 31, as was her male colleague the day before, Jan 30. We had several requests, and everyone was understanding and accommodating. It was nice to feel like the people at a hotel actually cared. The rooms were spacious and quiet. Excellent service, thank you!

The staff were very friendly, and we did get daily water bottles and fresh towels. They also put our rooms next to each other, and both had air conditioning. But for a four-star hotel in this location, the condition was a letdown. The rooms felt dated and in disrepair. The TVs were so old they were unplugged in both rooms, and the beds were old and very uncomfortable. Even with daily vacuuming, the carpet was stained and dirty. We also found cockroaches in the bathroom, the sink basin was cracked in several places, and the shower head looked like it came from the 1970s. We had somewhere to sleep, but the hotel quality was very low.

The location was really handy, about 3 minutes from Louvre and fiveish from the opera. Our rooms were pretty and so parisian, and the staff were kind and helpful. We had a very nice experience :)
