My nine-night stay had problem after problem. On the first day the sink was clogged, and later I got locked out of the main door because the concierge was busy washing dishes and couldn't be at the front desk. Having to do that in the evenings says something about the area's safety. The hotel is near two metro stations, but consider whether that convenience is worth the poor service and lack of basic standards and sincerity. Housekeeping was useless. I had to ask the concierge for bottled water most evenings, even though it was their only gesture of goodwill and they only provide it on the first night. I also had to request tissues that housekeeping kept forgetting to replace. I estimate only three of my nine nights passed without some kind of incident. Before I arrived, the hotel emailed a survey asking if I wanted my sheets changed daily. I said yes, but it never happened. When I raised it, they told me three-star hotels don't usually provide that, conveniently ignoring that they had asked me in the first place. This is a very bad hotel in Paris, possibly the worst in the world.

The beds were comfortable, breakfast was decent, and the staff were kind. But the dirt made the room uncomfortable. There was thick dust and dirt in every crevice, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. We asked for another cleaning because the floors didn't look swept or vacuumed. Staff did it, but it still wasn't up to hotel standards. We stayed a week, and the stairwell and hallways seemed to get dirtier from the first day to the last. The location was convenient but busy. The small room got stuffy, so we often had to open the window, and noise from the bar across the street carried on all night. Even with the windows closed, we could still hear outside sounds. Our stay was okay overall, but if you're looking for somewhere clean and quiet, this isn't ideal.

It was my first time in Paris, and the hotel staff made me feel at home right away. Thanks to the two young gentlemen who checked me in, whose names I can't remember. Albani helped me get a taxi to the train station when I checked out. The young Brazilian woman at breakfast was so kind that she even went downstairs to find out the name of a song I asked about. The location is great, with lots of restaurants nearby and only a few minutes' walk to the Grand Mosque of Paris. The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the receptionist was friendly and spoke English, though her French accent made communication a little tricky. I chose the hotel for its good reviews and reasonable price, especially the single-occupant option. I expected a small room, but it was even smaller than I imagined, with odd angles and nine corners that made it feel cramped. The tiny table didn't even leave space for my laptop. The AC didn't cool because the heat was set to 25°C, so I had to open the window. The safe was broken too. One odd design detail was the curved nightstand top: everything rolled off it, which isn't practical in such a tiny room. In the morning I kept hearing thumps like someone running on a treadmill, then a loud hiss around 8:15 startled me. The location was great, but the room's design and comfort really missed the mark.
