Hôtel Beauquartier Montmartre

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the place felt safe. The interior had a pleasant charm for the price, even though the rooms were worn and small. The location is great: Moulin Rouge is right across the street, Montmartre is easy to explore on foot, and public transport connects you to the rest of the city. We were there in November, and the room stayed chilly even with the heater running full blast most of the time. It was also noisy, early in the morning and late at night, from outside despite our window not facing the main street, and from inside the hotel. I'd recommend it to younger travelers who don't need anything especially plush and can put up with the noise.

Last November everything was excellent, but this year's visit was different. The night shift reception staff were rude, and the bathroom in my room was dirty. At checkout they asked me to pay for the room again, even though I'd already paid. The night receptionist had probably made a mistake in the records.

The staff were friendly and the location was convenient, but at more than 150 euros a night I think there are much better choices. The rooms and bathrooms were very basic, and ours had no safe. The hair dryer didn't work, the lighting in both the room and bathroom was dim, and the hallways weren't very clean. There is no air conditioning, which makes summer quite hot. They provide fans, but it still gets warm. I can't call this a three star hotel, and I find the Booking.com reviews hard to believe after actually staying here.

Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and cozy during my summer visit, and I loved having a balcony. The lift looked like it was on Ozempic, which I didn't expect, but it made the stay more memorable. It's conveniently placed, with bus stops a two minute walk away, the metro nearby, and Moulan Rouge right next door. I hope to come back next time I'm in Paris :)
