We were really happy with our stay, and the location made exploring Paris easy since everything was within walking distance. The team were welcoming and attentive from the start, and it was thoughtful of them to try speaking our native language, German. When my mother arranged for a bouquet to be delivered from outside for my birthday, the staff handled it smoothly, which made the occasion extra special. I was nervous about booking a room with a view because in Paris it can mean only a small corner or the distant top of the Eiffel Tower. Here the view was real and breathtaking, and we took lovely photos from the balcony. The room was surprisingly spacious by Paris standards, with classic old-Paris charm. The style is traditional, as the photos show, and suits the city’s romantic atmosphere. The price for what we got was better than I expected, especially after reading mixed and negative reviews. Our experience was very positive, and I don’t understand those comments. There were a few tiny housekeeping details that could be improved, but they didn’t affect our stay. Having stayed in many Paris hotels, I think this one stands out for its location, room size, service, and atmosphere, and we can recommend it.

The calm, clean rooms and thoughtful room service made our week here feel easy. We were close to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees, with a metro entrance right by the hotel. Silvi and the whole team paid attention to everything, big and small, and clearly cared about guests being happy. A perfect stay for us. Thanks for such a fun vacation, we’ll definitely be back 😍❤️🙏

Our room was entered while we were asleep, and our wallets, cash, and phone were stolen. The police confirmed someone got in through the window. We were on the second floor, facing a busy street in full view of the front desk. The room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning controls were locked, so we had opened the window a little to cool down. When we told the staff, they initially said it was impossible and that nothing like it had ever happened. They even came into the room and searched for our things themselves. Being told that while we were standing there after the theft felt dismissive, and we got no support. We asked for a full refund because a stranger had entered our room while we slept. Instead, we were moved to another room, which the hotel described as an upgrade. It was simply the only safe place available after the break-in. The manager later emailed us in a condescending and deeply inappropriate way, minimizing the value of what was taken, blaming the open window, and treating a partial refund as generosity. He refused a full refund and asked how one would affect our emotions, although our request was about the violation of our safety and the loss of our belongings, cash, and phone. He also described the second room as a six hundred euro benefit we ought to appreciate, when it was just the only safe option. Hotel Belfast failed badly in its duty of care. The way the hotel handled the incident and spoke to us afterward was dismissive, insulting, and condescending. It left us seriously concerned about safety, security, and basic responsibility. A stranger came into our room as we slept and our property was taken; the hotel responded with doubt and minimization, then only a partial refund. I strongly advise staying elsewhere. UPDATE, REPLY TO HOTEL: Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, your reply repeats the same pattern that led us to write this review. When we first reported what happened, staff doubted us, said it was impossible and had never happened before, and searched our room for our belongings. That was not reassuring after we had been robbed in our sleep. We did not express all our concerns at the time because we were focused on safety and were in shock, not evaluating the hotel’s response while the incident was still unfolding. The room move was for safety, not an upgrade, but it was later presented as a benefit to justify a partial refund. Emphasizing the open window and insurance still shifts attention away from the fact that guests were asleep when the break-in occurred. You also cite WhatsApp contact as support. You initiated that contact during the incident, then later told us not to use that channel. Describing it publicly as continued support is misleading. Our request for a full refund reflected how serious the incident was; the partial refund does not. Communication afterward is not accountability.

My stay itself was good, but the £100 security deposit from check-in still hasn’t come back, even though I checked out without damage or extra charges. I’ve contacted both the hotel and Booking support and am waiting to hear how this will be resolved. I hope it’s sorted soon. Guests need clear information and timely refunds.

The bathroom made the stay uncomfortable: the shower handle won’t stay put, so water runs toward the wall and you have to hold it by hand. The tub is very high, slippery, and has no proper support, which makes getting in and out risky, especially for older people or anyone with knee or mobility issues or a disability. There’s little glass around the tub and no grab support, so the whole setup feels poorly maintained. I’m usually not one to leave a review, and I try to be constructive, but I’m very disappointed. A few days after our four-night stay, I realized that the earrings I’d bought at Lafayette and kept in a small container in the room were missing. I’m concerned that someone responsible for cleaning may have taken them. That’s unacceptable and really marred the experience. The front desk staff and breakfast service were friendly, but that alone doesn’t make for a good stay. I can’t recommend this hotel. If you do stay, keep a close eye on your things because there’s a risk of theft, particularly by cleaning staff.
