Our courtyard family room was wonderfully quiet, even with such a central Paris location. Restaurants and the river were an easy walk away. The room was clean and had what we needed, and the service was friendly. It suited us perfectly.

The bed was comfortable and the location was great, but the place was shabby and dated, nothing like the online photos. There was old furniture, dust, and mold throughout. The older man at the front desk treated my family terribly for our whole stay. At over $225 a night, it wasn’t worth the price. There are much nicer, kinder places across Paris, so I wouldn’t settle for this musty old spot.

The sheets were crisp and fresh, and the bath was spotless. The hotel was quiet and in a great location. The decor felt French and drab, though, and could use more thought.

Room 2 was lovely, and the hotel was tidy and clean. The staff member who checked us in was especially kind, polite, and friendly. It’s about a 12-15 minute walk to Notre Damne, and the metro is nearby.

The location gave us easy access to the main sights, while still feeling tucked away and peaceful. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, and the staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. It was a wonderful stay at Hôtel Castex, and I’d happily return on my next visit. I highly recommend it for the comfort, friendly atmosphere, and excellent service.
