Hôtel Cosy Monceau

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and let us move to the larger three-person room for just $17 more. I felt safe the whole time, and never noticed the smell mentioned in earlier comments. The small single rooms need renovation, but they're fine if all you want is a clean bed for a few nights. The shower in the small room is very tiny, though the pressure and temperature were great. The larger room was a big step up. Its shower was huge, recently renovated, and the best one I had on my Europe trip. You get what you pay for, so keep an open mind. For the price, it's not bad for a short stay.

I had to book at the last minute because I couldn't get my flight home, and was very impressed with the service for a 2-star hotel at this price. My room was clean, the location was great, and there was always someone available to help. It has an authentic feel, too. Parc Monceau and Arc De Triomphe are both an easy walk away. There are restaurants, shops, and a cash machine right nearby. If you're on a budget but want to see Paris, I'd go for it.

This came through at the last minute for my trip to Paris, and it's a good budget option. I had a comfortable bed, a clothes rack, and a small shower with good water pressure. The manager was kind and helpful.

I was on the third floor, and there's no lift. The room and bed linen were clean, but the walls barely block outside noise, and you can clearly hear what's going on in the next room. Breakfast costs extra. It's about 3 km from Arc de Triomph.
