Hôtel des Pyrénées

The metro is right across the street, and the hotel worked well for our Paris city trip. Our room was clean and cozy, with fresh towels and linen every day. The toilet and room had been newly renovated, and it was nice and warm in winter. Staff at reception weren't the politest, but they were helpful and did their jobs well. I’m taking off a star because the windows have ventilation ducts and barely block sound. My room faced a busy street with construction nearby, so ask for one overlooking the yard. I'd consider staying here again.

I felt safe here, and it was easy to get to the metro. This lovely little hotel made my Paris fantasies come true! The front desk staff member wasn't especially friendly, but I have no other complaints and would happily return someday.

The neighborhood feels like a nice local area, with the metro to the city center right nearby. For a basic hotel, the price was pretty good for Paris, and check-in went smoothly. Everything was clean, and checkout isn't too early, it's at 12 noon. My only issue was the lack of soundproofing, which meant I woke up quite early each morning.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. The reception staff were not welcoming at all, and the women looked at me with contempt. Cleanliness was OK, though the equipment seemed old, and there were holes in the curtain and bed sheet. Breakfast cost 6 euros and was very poor, just coffee, orange juice, bread, and butter. It was a bad experience, and the way they welcomed me was the worst part.
