Hotel Duo

The welcome was genuinely friendly, and the Marais location makes it easy to wander out to cafés and restaurants. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bathroom was in good shape, but both spaces were tiny. Two people could hardly get ready in there together. The bedroom also felt very dark at night, with just one lamp on the side wall and no ceiling light. I knew Paris rooms could be small, but the room we got looked quite different from the hotel’s website photos. Maybe the photos give a misleading impression, or perhaps we just got an unappealing room. We booked because it was among the cheaper options, yet the price still felt high for what we got, even if that may just be central Paris. Next time I’d likely stay farther out and take the metro or bus.

Breakfast was a real pleasure, and the staff there were so warm and hospitable. Everyone welcomed us kindly and was very helpful. It was our first time at Hotel Duo, in a lovely area, and we’ll definitely stay again.

After long days of sightseeing, this was a comfortable place to come back to. The beds were good, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was central. There’s also a self-serve honor bar where you settle your tab at checkout, handy for a morning cappuccino or a glass of wine before bed. A great no-frills option if you just need a convenient place to sleep.

We only managed two nights and would have stayed a third if there’d been a room available. Le Marais is a great base, with restaurants, shops, Notre Dame and the Musée d’Orsay all an easy walk away. Our room was small but laid out well, and the bed and bathroom were good. Delphine the housekeeper was especially thoughtful toward my travel companion, and the front desk team were friendly and helpful.
