Hôtel La Bourdonnais by Inwood Hotels

We spent five nights here in July and had an amazing experience. After travelling around Europe, this hotel had the friendliest staff we came across. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone helping us. The service was five-star. The location is fantastic, right near the Eiffel Tower and within walking distance of the Sienne and other attractions. Our room and the facilities were comfortable and great. Thanks for making the stay so enjoyable. Your service is impeccable, and other hotels could learn from you. We’ll be back.

There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby, and the hotel is about 300 meters from the Metro. The Eiffel Tower and a nice viewpoint are within walking distance. We also had piping hot water at all times. But I won’t stay here again. The rooms have no noise cancellation: we could hear a door closing five rooms away, and people using the stairs were easy to hear when we were nearby. The elevator wasn’t working. I’d booked a room for four, but on arrival they said it was for one and wanted an extra 30 euros per day. I showed them the reservation email and explained it seemed to be a system error, but they insisted I still had to pay. With young kids, I felt I had no choice.

The hotel kept a peaceful atmosphere throughout our visit, even though one elevator was out of service during renovations. We weren’t disturbed by the work. Everything was spotless and well looked after, from the lobby to the fresh, tidy rooms. Staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. There’s a grocery store next door. La Bourdonnais is in a charming Paris neighborhood, less than a 10-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, so we enjoyed seeing it on short morning and evening strolls. It was a smooth, relaxing, convenient stay, and we’d gladly return.

We had a very pleasant stay and I’d definitely recommend the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean, and staff were helpful and cooperative. The location is great, with the Eiffel Tower a 10-minute walk away and grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants all around. The Metro station is about five minutes on foot.
