Hotel Lord Byron

We were five friends sharing two rooms, and everyone slept well. The hotel was clean and nice, the staff were friendly, and it’s in a great location. We also liked the bar. I’d stay here again.

The Crepes lady around the corner is a nice option for breakfast. We had two rooms for my family and really loved the hotel. It worked well for New Years Eve, and if we come back to Paris and want to be near Champs Elysees, we’ll stay here again.

I was disappointed with the stay. The rooms were noticeably below the standard shown in the online photos. Reception staff were uncooperative and came across as unprofessional, and breakfast was very limited and not up to an acceptable standard. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return.

The hotel is right next to the Champs - Elysees, and the two women on reception Sunday morning were lovely and helped us book a taxi to the airport. Still, I’m unsure I’d come back at the price we paid for the weekend. There were five of us, two couples and one solo traveler, staying two nights. We arrived at 10pm Friday, and checking in took an hour and 20 minutes. Two rooms were under one booking name, while the single traveler had a separate booking. The receptionist couldn’t match the bookings to our passports, so we had to help him get everyone checked in. We were the only three check-ins on the system that evening. He apologized and said our shared surnames caused confusion, but our full names, including first names, were clearly listed and matched our passports. The rooms are small, so with big suitcases or trolley bags you may need to unpack everything to make room. Rooms in the same category can vary in size: my sister and brother-in-law’s room was much smaller than ours, although we paid the same. Ours was just about manageable for two, and suited our weekend needs. We skipped housekeeping since we were only there for two days and there wasn’t much space to move our things. There was a hairdryer, but no iron or steam iron in the room. Other reviews say one can be requested. We had a shower, though baths are available too. The shower had only a combined shampoo and wash product. Two of us ate breakfast on the last day. Compared with other 4* hotels I’ve stayed at in France, the choice was very limited: three cereals, yogurt, cheese, ham, fresh bread, and some fruit. The hot items were scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, and bacon.
