Ibis Paris Canal Saint Martin

The staff were welcoming and the service was good, and there are some nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is a bit away from the attractions, though local stations on lines M2, M7 and others make it easy to get around. There’s a homelessness shelter close by, so the area didn’t feel completely safe late at night. Our room had a comfortable bed and the usual basics, but no safe or facilities for making hot drinks. There wasn’t a view from the window either. Breakfast options were limited, and outside breakfast hours the hot drinks machine downstairs required payment.

The staff were friendly and gave us useful tips for getting around. The hotel is farther from Paris’s main attractions, but public transport is easy to navigate from there and connects well across the city. We’d been cautioned about being outside in the area after dark, though we had no problems ourselves and found other places felt worse. The room was good and the bed was very comfortable. Hot drinks were only available at breakfast; at other times you had to pay.

The area was quiet, and the metro is within walking distance, which made this a good base for exploring Paris. Staff were very friendly. The room itself was small and basic, but clean. One small annoyance was that the cleaning team didn’t leave fresh towels every day, and it would have helped to have enough toilet paper. I’d come back.

Getting around was easy, with several metro exits close by and the city centre nearby. The hotel felt clean, modern and new, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and would definitely return. Thanks so much, highly recommended!
