There was a lot of construction outside, with a drill pounding the pavement. We left early each day and got out before it started, but I feel for anyone arriving on a night flight who wants to sleep for a few hours during the day. This worked fine for us as a place to sleep between days exploring Paris. The room was clean and a decent size, the bed was made daily, and our towels were changed every day. There are lots of stations nearby for getting to the nicer parts of the city. The staff were a mixed bag, some friendly and helpful, others disinterested. The toilet was awkwardly placed, with very little legroom. If you’re over 6ft 3, you might have to sit sideways.

The location was okay during the day, but walking around late at night felt less comfortable. Paris Gare du Nord is within walking distance, though it didn’t feel as close as the hotel’s name suggests. Paris Gare de Lyon is much farther away, and our Uber there cost around 22 euros. For a very short stay, the hotel may do the job, but for the price, the room quality, amenities and location offered limited value. We arrived for an evening check-in on January 22, 2026, and stayed one night after booking at the last minute, so we hadn’t had a chance to read guest feedback beforehand. The reception staff were polite and professional. The reception area also doubles as the breakfast and dining space, which was a little confusing at first. Having an elevator made it easier to move our luggage. The room was compact, with too little room to open our suitcases comfortably. There were no complimentary drinks, and no one explained the Wi-Fi at check-in, so we weren’t sure if it was available. The bathroom was small, and the shower step was about 20-30 cm above the floor, so we had to be careful getting out. The bed and pillows were thin, and the sheets felt coarse rather than soft. Without a bed skirt covering the lower part of the bed, the room also looked less refined. After a long train journey from Switzerland, we decided to rest instead of raising any concerns, then checked out early the next morning.

Ghani was really lovely, welcoming the whole time and easy to ask questions. The room felt just right for us, and the bed was huge. The shower was lovely too, and there’s food at the hotel, with plenty of restaurants nearby. You can also order food in, and there are lots of other places around if you need them. It’s a bit far from the big sights like the Eiffel Tower, but that suited us since we like walking to different places. It’s a lovely hotel for a couple, and close to the Eurostar station. We’d definitely come back if we needed to.

We woke one morning to find the paper lining the ceiling all over the floor. The front desk said the room had recently been painted, but it was very off-putting and left the bathroom unusable that morning. The room itself was okay, though very small. The hotel is easy to reach and sits among several metro and train stations, making it simple to get around Paris. The amenities were lacking, though. Vending machines and the desk had very few snacks or drinks, and the pizza we ordered hadn’t been heated all the way through.

Breakfast was adequate, with both continental and cooked food, and there are paid lockers for luggage on your last day. The communal area is small and food and bar services are limited. The hotel was clean, tidy and well maintained, and the staff all spoke English and were very helpful. The location worked well, within walking distance of Gar de Nord and Gard de l'est stations. I travelled with a friend and we had two singles, but they were very narrow for two full-grown men. The pillows were okay, not the best. I’d recommend it for a 2-3 night stay.
