Jack's Hotel

The location made getting around simple, with several metro lines easy to reach and the city sights within easy reach. The reception team were welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and well cared for, a great place to rest after exploring. I was very impressed with this charming small hotel and would highly recommend it.

The hotel is in a lovely, safe area, under ten minutes from the Metro. I liked being away from the tourist spots, with nice cafes, pastry shops, and restaurants nearby. It’s a really nice hotel, and we’d stay again. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived just after 3pm, even though check-in was at 3. That was disappointing after being up and about since 6am, hoping to freshen up and unpack. We used the toilets to get ready, and they kept our bags. We didn’t get back until 11.30pm, so there was no point unpacking for the one night. The next morning, the manager kindly offered us breakfast each as compensation, which we appreciated. It was a buffet with cheese, ham, fruit, orange juice, and a coffee machine. They also held our bags for the rest of the day until our flight home.

The room was compact, especially for North American expectations, but it was clean, comfortable, and had the essentials. I was on the seventh floor, reached by a tiny elevator that fits one person with luggage or by a narrow spiral staircase. Jack’s Hotel is on a quiet street and only a short walk from the metro, so it felt peaceful without being inconvenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the hotel’s clear effort to be more sustainable. A good straightforward option in Paris.

We came for my birthday, and my dress was taken from our room. After a month, the hotel said it had found “no irregularities” on CCTV. They couldn’t check the footage while we were there because management was on holiday. There should be a process for dealing with something like this. Staff also said nothing similar had happened before, though another review describes a similar situation. We were two young women who felt vulnerable after someone accessed the room and took our belongings. The hotel offered no compensation. Several times they suggested the dress might turn up, or that the room was too messy to find it. We had made a mess while searching for it ourselves. I’m deeply disappointed and very unimpressed.
