Our room was quiet, clean, and nice, and the staff were friendly and always at reception. Alberto was especially kind. We could come back at any time. The location is central, with good connections to the main attractions and lots of cool, affordable restaurants nearby. Everything was super good. Highly recommended.

The location is very good, with a direct metro connection and Montparnasse station nearby. My room was quite comfortable, though it was one of the larger ones the place offers, and the smaller rooms are really small. Service was fine, neither outstanding nor bad. Breakfast was small and nothing special.

The interior and service were both amazing, and the staff were helpful whenever I had questions. A big thank you to Alberto at reception, and thanks to Donna for the excellent breakfast! I had a wonderful time. The rooms were nice and clean, though a bit small, as you’d expect in Paris. The hotel street is great, with lots of restaurants.

For a three-star hotel, maybe you get what you pay for, but the rooms are extremely small. Alberto at reception and Donna at breakfast were good, but some of the other staff shouldn’t be in a job where good communication and interaction with people matter. One of them wouldn’t lend me kitchen utensils for ten minutes. Maybe that was strict policy, or just very poor customer service. Either way, it wasn’t a plus. You can spend your money better elsewhere.

The hotel itself was decent for the price. The location was fantastic for our trip, the room and bathroom were basic but what we expected at that price, and housekeeping came daily to change towels, make the bed, and empty the bins. There was a strong smell from the shower drain, but at first we decided to overlook it. The stay ended in a frightening situation. My cousin and I were checking out at 7:30 a.m. for a 10:45 flight, and heavy morning traffic made it hard to get an Uber. We asked the man at reception to call a taxi. He said it would arrive in 10 minutes and insisted we must not take an Uber after he’d called. His tone was sharp, but we thought he was trying to help. We checked that the taxi would take a card because we had no cash, and he told us all taxis in Paris accept cards. When the driver arrived, he greeted the receptionist warmly with a hug and spoke French with him, but barely acknowledged us. That made us uneasy. A few minutes into the ride, we noticed he hadn’t started the meter. He said the airport fare was fixed at €75, while Uber was usually about €50. When I asked again whether he took cards, he looked at me in the rearview mirror and coldly spelled out, “N-O.” His manner changed at once and felt hostile and threatening. We were two young women traveling alone and genuinely felt unsafe. He started talking aggressively, either to himself or to someone on the phone, and insisted on driving around to find an ATM. Once we got out, we agreed immediately that we didn’t feel safe getting back in. The ATM wasn’t working. When we told him, he suddenly said he would take a card after all and brought out a card machine, contradicting what he’d told us earlier. We were extremely stressed and just wanted to get out of there. We said we weren’t going to the airport anymore and would pay only the fare up to that point. He argued on the phone in French, wouldn’t listen, and tried to pressure us to contact the hotel so they could arrange another ride to the airport. I kept asking for our luggage. He ignored me, then finally opened the trunk, handed over the bag, and sped off. For two 23-year-old girls in a foreign country, it was terrifying. His behavior seemed threatening and manipulative, and I don’t know whether he was trying to overcharge us or something worse. But the hotel set us up with him, and that alone means I wouldn’t stay here again. After we got away, we had to figure out public transport ourselves, running through the city and airports with heavy cases and barely making our flight. A simple checkout turned into an ordeal that overshadowed the whole trip. I can’t recommend Hotel La Parizienne because staff involvement with this taxi driver led to a frightening and potentially dangerous situation.
