Hotel Le Mareuil

We’ve stayed at Boutique Hôtel Mareuil twice now, and both visits have been excellent. It’s become one of our favorite Paris hotels. The location is on a quiet street close to cafés, restaurants, and public transport, and the staff are warm, professional, and always willing to help. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed, with what you need for a relaxing stay. The hotel is fully accessible, which made a big difference to us. It’s a stylish, cozy place with outstanding service, and we’ll definitely return on our next trip.

The sauna and steam room were a real bonus, and both are included with your stay. You just have to tell them when you want to use them, since the steam room needs a key. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff at the desk were so sweet. There’s a water dispenser and coffee for guests, too. We skipped the breakfast buffet, though it looked delicious. The hotel is near the metro, and it’s officially my favorite place to stay in Paris.

The lobby beverage machine was a nice extra, and the front desk staff were friendly. We were there to celebrate our engagement, but the stay left us disappointed. Housekeeping kept pushing to clean even with our “Do Not Disturb” sign up, which made me uneasy for the rest of the visit. The small room faced the street and was noisy, and the centrally controlled air made it hard to sleep. The blankets were too thick and there weren’t enough pillows. The TV couldn’t cast or stream, so we used a laptop for movies the whole time. One morning an alarm went off throughout the hotel and woke us, with no explanation or apology from staff. The comfort, privacy, and communication problems outweighed the positives. I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff were especially kind and attentive, and the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. Hotel Mareuil has a peaceful, charming boutique feel that made us feel at home right away. Its downtown location made getting around easy, with the main attractions close by. A lovely place, and one I’d happily return to.
