Le Roch Hotel & Spa

I slept great, and the location is perfect. The room was cool, the in-room Hamam was cool too, and the pool was honestly spectacular. The staff were great apart from one weird guy in the restaurant. Our only real complaints were the check-in and the wait there. The waiter didn’t listen and seemed angry. Even with that, it was a great stay.

I’ve stayed here six times on business and pleasure trips, and it’s seriously my favorite place to stay in Paris. The hotel is wonderful, with friendly, professional and very helpful staff. Its location in the 1st is great, and the area is very walkable and quiet. Highly recommended.

The location is good, and the staff were the star of the show, super polite and helpful. But at almost 800 USD a night, I was disappointed. The spa and pool were closed, and the fitness center was about the size of a bathroom. The king bed was two single mattresses pushed together, the a/c definitely wasn’t working, and the towels were small. The pillows were very thin, there was no iron or ironing board in the room, and the room itself was very small, without even a working desk and chair. The bedrooms also have no views.

The gentleman at check-in was genuinely professional and helpful, but the service from then on was inconsistent and often unprofessional. Some male staff members were helpful, but the overall standard fell far short of what I’d expect at a five-star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this property. At best it feels like four stars, and even that’s generous. Housekeeping never properly cleaned the room. There was visible debris and tissue on the floor, and the towels were old, dry and overused. When I asked about moving to a higher floor, I was told, “I don’t know when guests will check out.” I expected the request to at least be acknowledged and considered. Basic requests were poorly handled too. I asked for a scale and was told another guest might not return it; eventually someone else found one. The packing materials I received looked reused and shabby. The night before my flight, I asked for tape to seal a box and was told they had none, so I had to order it myself. No one offered to help with luggage when we arrived, and I had to follow up several times to get a shopping bag delivered to my room. For a hotel claiming five-star status, the service and amenities were disappointing.
