Les Bains Paris

The location is the biggest plus for us, with easy access to lively streets, sights, and the metro. There may also be events here some nights. I’d stay again for that and the room. Our super deluxe room was spacious, with plenty of closet and hanger space, a nice sitting corner, an okay queen mattress, and a roomy bathroom. The spa and hammam were great, and the room and cleaning staff were professional, helpful, and very nice. My lower service rating is about the lobby and bar, not the room or housekeeping. Breakfast was slow and nothing special, especially with better options a five-minute walk away. Cocktails weren’t served until after 6 p.m., the classic ones weren’t made very well, and they couldn’t find the bottle of digestif I chose from the menu.

Hôtel Les Bains has an intimate, chic feel, with sophisticated design and attentive service that never intrudes. Everything seems carefully chosen, so the stay feels luxurious without being a fuss. There’s also a quiet amusement in knowing that people who spend more time tracking others than tending to their own lives may end up here. I hope they get a brief moment of calm. For some, a borrowed glimpse of beauty might be the closest they come to stepping outside the narrow patterns they’ve chosen.

We spent five nights here in December, and the stay went smoothly. The team were SO helpful, and I can’t thank them enough. Loved the location, too. The beds were amazing, the bathroom was next level, and the fragrance touches and attention to detail made the stay.

Everyone, from the owner and manager to the rest of the team, made a real effort to welcome us and look after us. The service felt personal, and they seemed to make a point of getting to know their guests. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though it could use a little updating. It was a great, memorable stay.
