Les Cles du 27 Apart-hotel

La Rotonde was a beautifully updated apartment, exceptionally clean and quiet. The staff were gracious and obliging, and we had a lovely stay. The hotel is a real gem, tucked into a courtyard on a quiet Paris street. We’ll certainly return on a future visit.

The room was clean and large, looking onto a lovely courtyard. Having a kitchen is a big plus in this neighborhood, with plenty of takeaway food and all sorts of supplies from the Rue de Levis food purveyors. This is terrific for independent travelers or people who know Paris. It’s not full service, and there isn’t always someone at the desk, but it’s a wonderful hotel.

The courtyard is beautiful and cozy, the setting is quiet, and the staff are very friendly. We dealt with an experienced manager whose work was impeccable. We’d like to return and recommend the place. The apartments are comfortable, but a regular electric stove for heating and cooking would be better. I’m concerned that microwave ovens may not be safe for health. In the first-floor studio, the shower is uncomfortable and splashes water all over the bathroom. There’s also a first-floor room for up to four people; its bathroom is very comfortable, but the second bedroom has no outside window, only internal glass partitions, which isn’t very comfortable for sleeping.

The room, location, and service were all great. I really enjoyed my stay and will book here the next time I’m in Paris.
