Maison Cassandre

The room was bigger than I expected for a hotel and impeccably clean. Breakfast was set up well, whether you wanted to grab something quickly on the way out or sit down for a full meal. The location made it easy to get around, with cafes, shops, and several metro and bus lines within easy walking distance. The staff were a real highlight too. They went out of their way to answer our questions and gave us great local recommendations we wouldn’t have found on our own. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay with great service.

The room itself was very clean, our number one priority, and the hotel’s facilities were clean and stylish too. We liked the location and thought the price matched the quality. We stayed three nights in a standard room. A few things could be better. At check-in, the receptionist was polite but not very welcoming, and we weren’t told about the hotel’s policies or amenities. Our room also wasn’t cleaned on the second day, even though we’d put the cleaning request sign on the door, so we had to ask separately the following day. I also have to take off a star for the carpet. I don’t like it, it seems hard to keep clean and feels unhygienic without slippers of our own. The room was missing little things like cotton rounds, q-tips, body lotion and hair conditioner. Even so, we were very satisfied with the stay.

I booked well in advance through a booking agent for myself and a colleague, at €704 each. When we arrived, we were told the hotel had cancelled our booking because of an internal policy that hadn’t been explained. They said there was only one room of the same quality we’d booked, but that they’d made a better room available as a favor. Then we were quoted €1086 for one room and €1342 for the other. This feels like a bait-and-switch scam. If you want to avoid being charged double the room cost, then having the extra hassle and travel expense of rebooking elsewhere on the day, book somewhere else.

Maison Cassandre delivered from my very first booking chat with the hotel manager Laurent. The staff were warm and friendly, going out of their way to help at every turn and make my stay wonderful. The rooms are gorgeous, breakfast is outstanding and the location is perfect. Maison Cassandre exceeded all my expectations. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Paris. Thank you for everything. Richard
