A family business that's been run for generations. Great rooms and breakfast, right in the center, and an absolutely brilliant choice.

There was no one at the hotel to help if you needed anything, and I barely saw any staff. Apart from the older neighbor who let us in, I saw only the woman serving breakfast. There's no room cleaning, and breakfast was just orange juice, coffee, croissants, and yogurt. The rooms were okay, with comfy beds and nice towels, but the floors creaked and the walls were thin. For the price, this wasn't worth it. I wouldn't come back and regret booking it. Check-in wasn't until 5pm, which is already late, and we couldn't even leave our bags there. I had to pay 5€ per bag at another hotel, both on arrival and checkout day. There was no front desk. Even after 5pm on check-in day, I couldn't get into the building. I called and heard people shouting before they hung up. After I rang every bell and bothered the neighbors, an older man finally opened the door. He said he was just a neighbor, not hotel staff, and that the hotel people were out on a Friday in Paris. He offered us a key, but our room had already been given away, so we were put in another one.
The rooms were clean and well cared for, and the service made us feel at home. The location was lovely, with shops nearby if you suddenly need something. Breakfast was my favorite part.
The location is great, and the rooms are fairly comfortable, but there was no warmth, flexibility, or real service. I had to rearrange my travel plans around their very strict check-in rules. They don't allow check-in after 21:00, which is a big problem if international guests' arrival depends on flight times or train strikes lead to cancellations in France. Breakfast was sparse and factory-made, with hardly any choice. At best, I'd call this a two-star place. I wouldn't recommend it, especially with so many other places nearby.
We paid 580€ for three nights, and the room and bathroom were so dirty that coming back after a long day of work was unpleasant. We asked twice for a better clean. The first request was ignored, and after the second, nobody answered until we texted again. In the end, they still didn't clean. There was someone else's hair, dust, and all kinds of buildup in the bathroom. I don't know where to begin with the room: grey carpet, coffee stains on the curtains, a dirty table that apparently hadn't been cleaned after breakfast, and dust and grime everywhere. When we complained, the owner just said sorry and asked us not to post a review. They didn't offer any compensation either. Also, please stop texting people in French when they aren't French. French isn't the international language, and doing that feels very impolite and ridiculous.
