After one awful night, my partner woke up with bed bug bites, and the bathroom towels were thin, rough, and stained with old blood. We left immediately, disgusted, and had to pay for somewhere else to stay. We booked three nights from 25 September, but the rooms were filthy and unfit from the outset. The first had blood on the walls, the second smelled terrible, and the third, which we reluctantly took, smelled of sewage in the bathroom. Its bedding was dirty, there was no duvet cover or mattress protector, and the sheets were itchy, with hairs and stains. Cigarette smoke stank up the corridors, despite the hotel supposedly being non-smoking. Since leaving, we’ve called and emailed several times and the hotel has ignored us. Booking.com says it can’t do anything without the hotel agreeing, so we’re £400 down the drain and feel completely scammed. It’s shocking that places like this can operate and take people’s money. I don’t know how the owners sleep at night, though I know it wouldn’t be in those rooms, since nobody could sleep a wink there. Avoid this place at all costs.

The room was filthy when we checked in, with rubbish and old towels left by the previous guest. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. When we told reception, the staff were rude and didn’t help. They had no other room for us and offered neither compensation nor a refund. They even said not to expect money back from the owner because he “has never given one before.” Getting help from Booking.com was worse. Over five days, several agents kept saying that if the property manager didn’t respond, they’d escalate the case and we’d get a full refund. The owner never replied, but Booking.com gave us only $100, even though we’d paid $1,000. Don’t book this hotel or use Booking.com if you want peace of mind, otherwise expect to be scammed.

The building felt more like a noisy, low end café than a hotel, with a busy, poor coffee shop downstairs. The room was dirty, outdated, unhygienic, and smelled strongly of smoke despite being meant to be non-smoking. It set off my allergies and left me sick for the rest of my Paris trip, so I had to leave after one night. I booked August 3-8 and left on August 5, then immediately asked hotel management and Booking.com for a refund for the remaining 4 nights. Management never replied to me or Booking.com. I emailed and called more than 15 times, but they denied there was a problem and refused to refund me. They hung up on my calls and ignored my complaint, which was dismissive and unprofessional. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in all my years of traveling worldwide. Their behavior feels like a scam.

It was a nice stay overall. Everything else was fine, but the pillow was thin and there was no refrigerator.
