Hôtel Monsieur Aristide

The staff were exceptional, friendly, and welcoming, and the hotel sits on a quiet side street near plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The neighborhood is easy to explore on foot, with Metro and other transit nearby. We stayed two nights and wished we'd had longer. Our first-floor room faced the street and had a nice view. We appreciated the French windows for fresh air. The room was small, as is normal in Paris, and there wasn't much luggage space, but it was comfortable and beautifully decorated. We'd definitely return.

My cousin and I spent three nights at this lovely Montmartre hotel for my birthday trip. The rooms were tiny, but that was fine since we were out most of the time. My cousin arranged for champagne and macarons to be waiting when we arrived, and the staff had it all set up perfectly at check-in. They were incredibly helpful throughout the stay and shared great local recommendations.

Louis-Marie at reception was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our one-day stay on a short trip to France. We absolutely adored the place. Our room was beautiful, clean, and very Parisian. It's right in the heart of Montmartre, with plenty of public transport options nearby. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

The staff were great, and the hotel itself is cute and well placed. Still, a few problems took some shine off what was meant to be a special trip for my fiancée and me, so here's what we ran into. Our booking was for a room a step up from the smallest, with a city view. We were given a ground-floor room looking onto a garden instead. That was okay, but we had specifically wanted a view of Paris, and the room also felt extremely cramped. Maybe we got the wrong category, or maybe the smallest rooms are even tighter. There was a lot of dust, which set off my fiancée's asthma, and they couldn't move us that night. The following day we were switched to a room about twice as large, though it still had no city view. It was more manageable, but dusty and smelled of mildew, and there were lots of tiny gnats. Then we found there was no hot water when we showered at 11:30 a.m. before checkout. Each issue was small on its own, but together they left us unable to recommend the place.
