The apartment had what we needed for a longer visit, including a washer-dryer and built-in AC. Staff were lovely, and we could leave our bags at their main office. There are stairs, as you'd expect in a Paris apartment. We were two women travelling together and felt quite safe in the area. In about five minutes on foot we could reach the metro, a bus stop, grocery shops and lots of restaurants. The Louvre was an easy 20-minute walk, and the Eiffel Tower was about an hour away if you felt like walking.

The place was clean and spacious, with a convenient location in an area that felt safe. Just be prepared for the stairs: I spent five days on the top floor with my suitcase and never got used to climbing them. There also weren't any cooking basics, so I had to rush out for sugar, salt and oil. The only sizes available were regular ones, so I left them for the next guest and wasn't sure how they should be disposed of. There's a small supermarket just across from the entrance, handy for water, drinks and snacks. I went there a few times because it stays open late and the main supermarket was a hassle to get to. Prices changed each time, though. A 1.5-liter bottle of Evian was 1.3 euros one day, 1.5 euros another, and 1 euro on a third visit. If you're lucky, you might find some things cheaper there than at the supermarket.
