Hotel Montparnasse Alesia

I was there for four nights on my own, and the room was ready with everything I needed. It had a queen-size bed, a private bathroom, a safe, and a table with a small chair. The windows looked onto the courtyard, and there was a kettle with tea and instant coffee. You use a card to get into the room, and there's an elevator. The staff were friendly the whole time, and kindly let me leave my luggage for a couple of hours while I went out for lunch. There are several places nearby for groceries and shopping. Everything was satisfactory, with nothing to complain about. I'd highly recommend it.

We paid the city tax at check-in after booking through Agoda. During our three-night stay, the street-facing room had a nice decor and a pleasant feel, though it was a little small and quite cold. It was generally clean, but there were stains on the towels, and noise carried easily from other rooms because the sound insulation was poor. Breakfast didn't have much variety, and we struggled to find things we could eat. The neighborhood felt safe, with two metro lines just a six-minute walk away. Notre Dame Cathedral is about a pleasant hour's walk from the hotel.

The hotel was clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly. There's a really nice bakery next door and a few supermarkets nearby. The downside is that it's far from the tourist spots, so we had to take a bus or subway everywhere. Paris is expensive, so we made do. A small fridge in the room would've been good.

There was barely any room to move around the bed. The bathroom was extremely cramped too, and showering meant knocking my elbows against the walls. There was mould around the shower screen.
