Hotel Niel

We’d stay here again without question. Our family of four fitted comfortably in the family room, while the rest of our group stayed just up the stairs in double rooms. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and the staff were extremely helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and it suited our needs perfectly. We spent a week at Hotel Niel at the end of July, and it worked out perfectly for our family.

I was a little worried because the pictures on the website seemed outdated, but the hotel is even more beautiful in person. I stayed for about 5 days, and found it extremely beautiful, clean, and safe. The service was amazing, the view was great, and the location is prime. Definitely recommend it for anyone’s first trip to Paris!

We loved our room and the hotel’s beautiful design. The bold red colors gave it a charming, old-fashioned French feel. There were two problems, though. Our street-view window wasn’t soundproof, so the steady outside noise made it very hard to sleep from early morning. Also, the shower door didn’t seal properly. Water spilled out and flooded the bathroom floor, so we had to clean and dry it after each use.

If you have breathing issues like asthma, please DON’T STAY HERE. We paid almost €1000 for a family room for 3 nights in Paris. When we first came in, the heater was off and it was -2 outside, so the room was freezing. The room was also dirty, as you can see in the photos, and this triggered an asthma attack. I had to take medication, and it really ruined my trip. The heater didn’t work properly, and the bathroom was always freezing too. It only had a small, old heater with a timer, so showering was uncomfortable. The manager didn’t speak English, which made it difficult to communicate properly. Staff didn’t seem interested in customer satisfaction either. Nobody asked how our stay was or whether we were having problems. Please reconsider booking here. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.
