Breakfast was good, though the dining area felt a little cramped, and the room itself was clean. The hotel is also very handy for getting around Paris: Notre Dame, the Louvre, Saint-Germain, and the Latin Quarter are all within reach, with major public transport just a few minutes away on foot. My arrival was disappointing because I was given a lower-category room and some amenities were missing, especially the in-room safe. Management listened and eventually sorted things out professionally, which I appreciated. Still, I would rather have had the room I booked. Room assignments need to be more consistent, and the website should be clearer about what guests will receive.
Breakfast was the highlight for me, simple but really tasty. The dining area is tiny, though, and if you come down late there may not be a table. My room was minuscule, and even though I was travelling alone, I can't picture two people fitting comfortably. The front desk staff were attentive and tres sympa, and the location is good.
The staff were attentive, and the location is great. The rooms are very small, which is fairly predictable in this part of town. But the quality didn't feel like four-star to me. The bedding was poor, and the sheets were too small. With the plastic mattress cover, part of the bed was uncovered by morning. The AC didn't work either, and the bathroom sink was broken.
This has become my home away from home whenever I come to Paris. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully put together, and always spotless. I really notice the care in both the cleaning and the service. The staff and management are warm and professional, and they go out of their way to make things right. It’s unusual to find that mix of elegance and real hospitality. I'd happily recommend it, and I keep wanting to come back.
That excellent location may be what drives the price, because the room was super small and the online photos make it look better than it is. For our one-night stay, the bathroom sliding door was broken and wouldn't close. The staff member was kind and tried to help, but there wasn't another room available. The place was clean and basic, though it felt more like a three-star hotel than a four-star one.
