113 - Urban Vuitton Lemoine

I had a reservation for a planned Paris trip, but the situation and the closure of airspace along my route meant I couldn’t travel. That was completely beyond my control. The other providers involved, including flights, activities, and other bookings, recognized how unusual the situation was and gave full refunds, even when their policies didn’t require them to. This accommodation wouldn’t offer any solution and just pointed to its cancellation policy. There was no flexibility, not even a partial refund, a date change, or credit toward a future stay. The booking was around €1,500, so I found that especially disappointing. I understand businesses have cancellation rules, but how they treat customers in exceptional circumstances says a lot about their service. A partial refund or future credit would have seemed fair. If management reconsiders and comes up with a reasonable solution, I’d be happy to update my review.
