Plaza Athenee Hotel

After my first visit to Valentinki, I went back a second and third time, and each one confirmed the restaurant’s consistently high standard. It combines Parisian elegance with a welcoming, luxurious feel, and the room’s design makes a meal feel like a real pleasure. The service is warm, discreet, and attentive, often anticipating what you need. The dishes are works of culinary art in how they taste, come together, and look. The chef clearly cooks with passion and respect for guests. I have many food allergies, and the kitchen adapted dishes for me with real care and creativity, without sacrificing taste or quality. The sommeliers know their wines and make thoughtful pairings. Each glass feels like its own refined, memorable journey. Unlike many Michelin-level restaurants, the portions here are satisfying as well as refined, so you won’t leave hungry. Valentinki stays with you long after you leave, and I’m confident it deserves the highest recognition.

The interior was amazing, with fun flowers and a really festive feel. The food was good and very unique, but not worth the high price. There were only a few servers for the whole dining room, so our Christmas lunch took over three hours.

We were looking forward to afternoon tea at Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, and the hotel itself is unquestionably elegant. We had reserved and prepaid for the vegan option at least a day in advance, as advised, and the hotel confirmed it before our visit. There was a long wait for the first savory course, which turned out to be just one finger-sized sandwich and two tiny hors d’oeuvres, scarcely bigger than an American quarter. Nearly 40 minutes later, sweets and mousse-style desserts arrived. We appreciated them, but the presentation differed noticeably from the regular tea service other guests received, especially because there were no baked items. We understand dietary accommodations can be challenging, but since this vegan service was offered at the same price and needed advance preparation, we expected comparable variety and care. I’m sharing this as constructive feedback and hope it helps the hotel keep improving the guest experience.

We’ve found this to be a memorable way to spend an afternoon every time we’ve visited. The brunch at Jean Imbert at Plaza Athénée has an exquisite setting, elegant décor, and refined courses. Service was amazing and well coordinated. A lovely, festive brunch, and a must do.
