Hôtel Rosalie

I’m afraid I can’t recommend Hotel Rosalie. The room had a broken Telefon and TV, and the sink was clogged. Staff assured us several times that the TV and Telefon would be fixed, but neither was. Our room also never got cleaned, even after we asked more than once. When my partner requested cleaning for the third time, a staff member made a rude comment about her experience and said they wouldn’t clean it. On our final night, water to the whole hotel was shut off. Staff said no emergency repair person was available. For an issue that serious, that seems crazy for a hotel of this size. Most staff were dismissive and rude whenever we raised concerns. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle bus, but it doesn’t have one. Instead they booked a taxi that cost us 66 euro for a 12 km trip to Orly. Uber would have been less than half the price. The hotel never apologized or offered compensation for any of this. It was a very disappointing stay.

I felt very safe here as a solo female traveler, and the area was nice. There’s plenty of food within walking distance, and the staff were kind. It’s a bit far from most of Paris’s major attractions, though the routes are walkable, albeit long. Place d'italie metro station is also right down the street. I stayed a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. It was clean and warm, and we’ll be back. We also got to meet Rosalie. Thanks so much, Alex, for being so helpful and kind, and for the tip about the jazz club. It was so cool.

We stayed three nights in a triple room and really liked the place. From Place d’Italie, the Metro makes it easy to get anywhere. The neighborhood also has good restaurants, shops, and useful services such as nearby car rentals.
