The Walled off Hotel Paris

The location is great, but the rooms were old and cold, with no tea-making facilities. The shared kitchen and breakfast area were dirty and gross 🤢, and the photos had been heavily touched up. The hotel’s condition and maintenance were deeply disappointing. Even the dusty lights on the facade weren’t working. It wasn’t worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Spend a little more and don’t let a place like this spoil a trip you’ve been dreaming about.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d try to book here again if I return to Paris, which I hope I do. My double room was small but neat, with its own toilet and a bit of character. There were loads of electrical sockets, too. I saw no sign of the bedbugs mentioned in some other reviews. The view looked right down onto a busy Paris street. Part of the hotel is an art installation, with a Banksy museum running through it. I recommend visiting. The blankets were too warm on the first day, but I’m sure you could ask the staff to change them if that bothers you.

We could walk to pretty much anywhere from this hotel, and the area felt safe. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was really good, and the staff were so kind. It made the trip a pleasure. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

Housekeeping really let the stay down. The floor and toilet weren’t cleaned properly, and the room felt neglected overall. It was also quite small. The location was great, though, and the staff were friendly and helpful. With better cleaning, this could have been a much nicer stay.
