After one of the worst days of my life, I was able to get a room at the last minute in the middle of the night. As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe in the hotel, and the staff were wonderful and incredibly kind. The building and room were quite old, but very clean. I’m grateful to the staff at Hotel Des 3 Nations for their hospitality.

For Paris, it’s OK if you’re judging by the price. The hotel is very central and has a beautiful view, but the inside needs a lot of changes. It’s an old building with potential charm, though so much is worn out and broken that it’s hard to believe. The bathroom is extremely old-fashioned, the beds are very old and uncomfortable, and the terrible pink walls make it seem like whoever chose the style didn’t care how guests would feel in the room. Somehow it’s so bad it becomes funny again.

We had three people booked and got a room with three single beds. The staff were very kind and accommodating, and even opened the door at night. The rooms were charming and clean. It’s no Hilton, but doesn’t pretend to be. The location’s convenient, beside the metro and the best bakery ever. Nearby there’s also a cheese shop, military surplus store, fancy cooking store, manga and comics store, and the street of photography. We had an absolutely kicking time.

The location was spectacular for getting around Paris on foot. It’s near the Metro and not too far from the Pompidou or the Louvre. The rooms are small but clean, the prices are fair, and the Wi-Fi worked really well.

The hotel is old, small and tight, though it’s OK if your main goal is just to sleep. There’s no parking in the area, and the police pick up cars every 60m. There’s no wheelchair access. The corridors are tight and the elevator is very small. The restaurant is about 3/3m, crowded with 6 tables and 4 chairs at each. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the beds are all OK. There’s hardly any room to walk between the beds and walls, but the room is good enough for resting.
