I was comfortable during my stay at this small budget hotel near Montparnasse.

The facilities could use some improvement, but the hotel is calm and felt safe even late at night. It may look a bit far from central Paris, yet the subway made it feel close enough. Since it’s away from the tourist crowds, I got more of a local feel there. The price was reasonable for Paris, too.

We’re here for a second night after arriving late from the Moulin Rouge. The bed linen is fresh, the towels are new, and the room is tidy, so no complaints. The morning buffet costs €10; there isn’t a big selection, but it’s tasty. The room itself is shabby, though clean, and the walls are plywood. It’s okay for one night, especially at 10,000 rubles for three days.

It was freezing in the room, and there was no way to adjust the heat. Reception didn’t have a blanket when I asked, so they gave me a bedspread instead. The TV had no remote either. The hotel was noisy and not clean, with dust piled under the bed and mold on the shower curtain. I absolutely don’t recommend it.
