Voco Paris Montparnasse

We stayed January 2-6, 2026. Even though we arrived early in the morning, they gave us a room so we could settle in. It was a points stay, so our room was on the small side, but it was fresh and clean. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows, and there was a coffee machine and safe in the closet. The desk staff were friendly, professional, and keen to help. They cleaned the room daily and handled extra requests for towels or coffee pods. We ate at breakfast three times, and it was consistently good and convenient. The buffet had continental and hot options, including eggs, breakfast meats, cold cuts, fresh breads, pastries, cereal, coffee, and juice. There was also a daily Happy Hour. Enjoy!

We stayed for five days before Christmas, and I actually loved it here. We've visited Paris many times and stayed in different places, but this is the hotel I like best. I'd happily come back next time and hope the staff are just as nice. The location is so convenient: a supermarket is a one-minute walk away, there are lots of restaurants nearby, and the metro is right outside. We asked for towels and hot water during our stay, and the staff were helpful and polite. I'd read the reviews beforehand, but found the place wasn't as bad as they made it sound.

What shocked me most was seeing a mouse run across the lobby right in front of me. I know it's a city location, but this is still a Voco hotel, and basic pest control shouldn't be a problem. It was disgusting. The room's shower was nice, but the bed was too small and uncomfortable for two adults. It was also very cold the first night because the heating didn't work properly. They brought us an extra heater the next day, which helped somewhat, though we shouldn't have needed one. The friendly, welcoming check-in with Lurine was the highlight. The bar staff were rude, and most of the others didn't acknowledge us or say welcome. As a Platinum member, the so-called free drink was limited to wine or beer, which felt cheap and underwhelming. Too many disappointments in the end.

A fair deal, with rates that match what the hotel offers. The rooms are a good size compared with other Paris hotels, and the location is a plus, near all the shops and bistros in montparnasse. Being a Platinum elite ambassador with IHG didn't mean much to either the friendly reception staff or the stiff reception manager. All in all, there were no surprises, which is good.
