The location is fantastic and feels safe. There’s a small elevator, which is a lot easier than carrying luggage up the stairs. I’d stay again, but only in a one-bedroom unit. My two-star rating is specifically for the two-bedroom unit I stayed in for two nights. It seems like a studio with a little bedroom squeezed in to make it a two-bedroom. That room is tiny, and its curtains don’t cover the windows, so light from the other room comes in. I’m from America, and I don’t know if French bedrooms usually have windows looking into another bedroom. Even though it was April and around the low 50s at night, the small bedroom got hot with the door shut. As others have mentioned, the shower also leaves the bathroom floor soaked because the small drain can’t handle the water quickly enough.

The location was definitely the best part for my sister and me. We knew from other reviews that the rooms would be quite small, but the state of ours still disappointed us. The floor seemed not to have been cleaned for ages, and the bathroom looked like someone had wiped it down in a hurry, with stains all over. The shower sink was blocked, so the water drained extremely slowly. Cleanliness needs a lot of improvement.

The bedsheets were very dirty, and the fan in my room made my eyes itch. There was no air conditioning and no windows. What made it worse was that the fan and light were linked: keeping the fan on meant leaving the light on, but turning off the light to sleep shut the fan off too. I asked to check out at 11:30 instead of 11:00 because my driver would arrive then. They refused and told me I could wait at a nearby coffee shop. I had a very bad experience, won’t stay there again, and wouldn’t recommend it.

My long-standing booking was cancelled without warning just a week before I was due to arrive. That left me very little time to find somewhere in Paris during peak tourist season and the final stage of the Tour de France. Similar or even worse accommodation was then substantially more expensive.
