Le Gîte de la Faïencerie

We all enjoyed the activities Camille, the owner, put on, adults and kids alike, and the welcome was lovely. The two roomy, well-planned gîtes can be joined and sleep up to 15, with a huge table for everyone to gather around. Having two kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets made managing our group much easier. We shared everything else, but split the sleeping areas and toilets into girls’ and boys’ sides. We’d happily come back with another group.

The pottery workshop was fantastic, and we left delighted with our Smartbox Christmas gift from Sylvie and Rose. We’re about an hour and a half away, so we’ll have to come back to paint our masterpieces, and we can’t wait. A lovely, relaxing time. Thanks, Camille!

We found plenty to do nearby, with tree climbing and a water park in Sainte-Menehould, just 10 minutes away. But the gîte itself is a lovely quiet spot surrounded by nature. Our family of 13 spent a wonderful weekend there with our children and grandchildren. The place was clean and well equipped, and Camille Lange gave us a warm welcome. We visited the educational farm and enjoyed chatting with Camille in full farmer mode. On Saturday afternoon, we all joined a pottery workshop in the family studio. Camille in potter mode kept all 13 of us captivated, and we made lots of pieces. Such an enjoyable experience.

The keypad entry was really handy, so we didn’t have to worry about lost keys or disturb the owner with different arrival times. Splitting the gîte into two sections also worked well for our group. People arriving later didn’t wake those who’d gone to bed earlier, and everyone could have their own space. Camille was welcoming and clearly enjoys showing guests the farm, pottery workshop, and area, with helpful advice too. Our stay was unfortunately too short to enjoy everything properly, but we’ll keep the address for another visit. The countryside nearby is worth exploring. Don’t hesitate!
