We were disappointed by how our concerns were handled. When we raised them calmly at the front desk, the staff member cut the conversation short and wouldn’t connect us with a manager. I emailed after we left and never heard back. We’re a family from Normandy and stayed in July 2025. The room looked neglected, with cobwebs on the chandeliers and visible marks on the pillows. The indoor pool and Wi-Fi, both listed as available, couldn’t be used, and nobody had told us beforehand. There was very little consideration for guests. We should have paid attention to the negative reviews online. Avoid this place if you’re looking for a quality stay in Normandy.

After three weeks of camping, we spent four days at this lovely hotel, but there was so much nature nearby that four days didn’t feel like enough. The view of the sea was lovely, and our room was spacious and clean. We also really liked the old-fashioned furniture and the friendly service. We were lucky enough to spot a sea lion in Sallenelles, about a 40-minute drive away, and Etretat is an hour away. It’s a comfortable option and much less expensive than the other hotels nearby.

Our room had a large terrace overlooking the Seine, and the rates were very competitive. We also enjoyed the staff, the unusual and tasty dinner menu, and the excellent breakfast buffet. We’d gladly come back. A great place!

Our “superior” room was at the back and had a balcony with a sea view. The bed was small, and the lighting wasn’t good enough.
