Prato Plage

We arrived for a one-night stay and found no one at reception, even though it was within the opening hours on the sign. I called the number posted there and got a very unfriendly response, as if the staff thought we were unreasonable for expecting them to follow those hours. A few minutes later someone showed up, but didn't know about our reservation, despite the confirmation email I'd received. They told us, "An email isn't a reservation." So what are we meant to do? Breakfast had also been confirmed by email, but the hotel was empty and none was served. The explanation was, "I'm not going to prepare breakfast for two people!" The price was different from the amount in the email reservation too. We were very disappointed and won't be coming back.

The room was roomy and had AC, but there were almost no amenities: no shower curtain and just one tiny packet of shower gel. Reception was poor and the manager was unpleasant. Breakfast was worse than a bad all-inclusive meal deal. The pool was green, leaking, and full of mud. Avoid at all costs, you've been warned 🫣

We came with friends for a short motorcycle break. Booking through Expedia was a headache, never again, but the owner sorted it out for us. The rooms were decent and the courtyard outside them was spacious. The pool is big enough for a dip to cool off, though the place could use a little more attention overall. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh bread and croissants, savory choices, several kinds of honey, and hot and cold drinks. There's lots of parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Vito restaurant is only 900 meters away and serves excellent Italian food. All in all, a very positive stay.

The room was roomy and had air conditioning, and it was clean. The pool looked a little green, but it was refreshing. A good place for a stopover, and the room did the job for a night.
