Mobil home excellence le lac des rêves 4* LATTES

If you're considering buying here, DON'T. Cars and motorbikes speed around in the early hours every morning, and I've seen staff drink and then drive. It's out of order. This site would have earned five stars five or six years ago, but it's gone downhill fast. Security used to patrol regularly, make sure dogs were on leads or warn owners they'd have to leave, and check every lane and circle at night so people stayed quiet. The hedges between caravans were also kept neat and a sensible height. The bar used to be open all afternoon, even outside high season, so you could drop in whenever. Now it feels like they don't want people here, especially the English. The entertainment team no longer caters for English speakers. It used to be about half French and half English, but now you're lucky to find a 90/10 split. At kids club, children run around while the staff sit in chairs looking at their phones.

The site has lots of facilities for families and is well equipped. Its location near Perols also makes it handy for exploring the surrounding area.

The house was small and smelled like an old train. There was no dishwasher or washing machine, and the customer service matched the quality of the place. The front desk communicated badly and made no effort to find a solution.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the location worked well for us. The beach is about a 15-minute drive away. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, and might come back. The pool felt too small for the number of people there. We also had a mosquito problem during the first two days, then it cleared up. There were no blankets or iron, which we hadn't been told in advance. Luckily, we'd brought our own for the road trip.
