Le Manoir is set in a quiet valley in the countryside, yet Souillac’s shops and grocery stores are only a few minutes away. There are countless attractions within a 30-minute drive, and the pool is a good size. We’ve stayed in several of their gites over the years; they’re clean and well equipped, and the thick stone walls keep them cool in summer. The owners are helpful and accommodating, the internet connection is good, and we’ve enjoyed several delicious dinners there. The wine selection is excellent and affordable. Highly recommended. We had a lovely week at Le Manoir, and we’ll definitely return. Jan and Marion were welcoming hosts, serving a good breakfast and making us a delicious dinner on Saturday. Jan also helped when we ran into trouble with our car. Our bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The room wasn’t very soundproof, so other guests could hear me coughing. It’s a peaceful location, while still being a fairly short drive from Souillac.

The price is very reasonable, and the gite stayed cool even on the hottest days when we followed the advice to keep the shutters closed. It’s a friendly place with welcoming hosts, and a great base for exploring the area’s chateaux and historic buildings.
