We liked how easy it was to park, and the bus stop is right across the street. The veranda gets a bit noisy from traffic during the day, though indoors it stays quiet at any hour. The place has a lovely rustic feel, nothing fancy or pretentious. It reminded us of our grandparents' home, with keepsakes around and comforting breakfast basics like coffee, fresh juice, baked bread, butter, and jam.

Just outside Perpignan, this is a very nice hotel with easy access to the highway. The French owner was a lot of fun, very nice, and knew the area well. He also knew plenty about the house's history, as it had been in his family for many years. I can't think of anything bad to say about the hotel.

We had a whole suite of rooms in this lovely old manor on the outskirts of Perpignon. It has that slightly worn shabby chic look the French do so well, with bare floorboards, rugs, mismatched antiques, paintings, and several old floor-to-ceiling windows with shutters in the one room. Very French, and very comfortable. The host was wonderfully hospitable. Breakfast was French too, with fabulous bread and croissants, coffee, fresh orange juice, and jams to die for.
