I picked this basic hotel because it’s very close to the station and the buses to the airport. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the old town/Centre-ville. The staff were excellent, very helpful, and patient with my modest French. My room was clean, with a comfortable bed, but basic. There were no facilities for making drinks, which I consider a serious omission even in a two-star hotel. There were also marks on the wallpaper and damage in the shower room. I was surprised it had a two-star rating, which seems too high to me, but I’m grateful to the excellent staff.

I stayed one night before setting off on a road trip to northern France. The hotel is fine for that one night, and not much more. Perpignan isn’t a beautiful city, and the hotel reflects that. The elevator barely has room for two people with their luggage.

It’s good value for the price, as long as you don’t expect miracles. Friendly staff, and breakfast included for the money was reasonable.

There’s nothing fancy here, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The TV was nice and WiFi was free. Breakfast was standard, but good.
