We paid €84 for lunch and still left hungry. The owner, an older woman, was rude and cold, and we waited an hour for the menus. I wanted to leave, but my mum was hungry. The potato soup was watery green slime that tasted of fish, and the cold rice looked like maggots. My mother usually orders the locals’ red wine, a half jar that’s always very cheap, around 4/5 euros. They charged us £17 for a tiny bottle you can buy as a full bottle for €4. Honestly, the McDonald’s down the road is nicer and friendlier. No manners, and disrespectful to kids.

On market day we had lunch on the terrace. The view was nice, the portions generous for a reasonable price, and the service effective.

The owners were super nice, and the food tasted amazing!

The food itself was perfectly acceptable, objectively speaking. The welcome, though, was mediocre, and the whole experience felt unbelievably dated, like we were 30 years behind the times. Throughout the meal, there were inappropriate comments about where to put and store my work bag beside me, and how to behave at the table. I spend my weeks eating in restaurants in Toulouse, Biarritz, Bordeaux, and Paris, so thanks to the owner for teaching me how to sit and behave. If the chef is the owner, they should consider hiring staff who are more customer-oriented. I’ve never seen this kind of behavior in a restaurant before.

The food, cooking, and service were all thoroughly enjoyable. We chose the €20 set menu, with a starter, main course, and dessert, featuring local cuisine and high-quality local products. The dining room was charming and pleasant, and the owners gave us a very warm welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant.
