The menu changes daily with whatever local ingredients are available, and we got to try black truffles their dog had found in the forest. The food felt Michelin-star level, and the staff were so friendly. Such a lovely little find, and it’s family-run too 😊😊😊

We stumbled across this place while staying nearby and ended up having a lovely family dinner last night. The service was warm and attentive, and the dishes were refined and delicious. Such a gem, definitely worth making a trip for.

The dinners are delicious and beautifully presented, served in a bright, pretty dining room. In summer, many of the flowers, vegetables, and herbs used in the kitchen come from Marianne's gardens around the terrace, where we like to have breakfast or just sit with coffee or a drink and watch the world go by. We’re Americans and have stayed at les Deux Ponts almost every year for the past ten years. It keeps getting better. Philippe and Marianne Bariteau restored and run this small hotel and restaurant, with just 7 rooms, and they’re welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and simple, and the beds are firm. Phillipe is an excellent chef. This is our favorite hotel in all of Burgundy.

We were hiking pilgrims on our way from Vezelay in August 2019, looking forward to coffee or a cold drink at Les Deux Ponts. But we were told hikers couldn’t use the terrace, so stopping there wasn’t an option. It was really sad to find the hotel so unwelcoming, especially after the many other welcoming places we’d come across in France.
