Chambres d'hôtes du Theven

We hadn't planned for this to be a highlight of the holiday, but it turned out to be one. The beach is only metres away, and the hospitality made the stay memorable. Marie was wonderfully kind and accommodating, and we left feeling like friends. We’ll be back. The B&B has a lovely positive feel, and its character and beauty put it streets ahead of places like Ibis or holidayinn, and I suspect it costs far less too. Our room was spotless, with a comfortable mattress that gave us all a good night's sleep. It was beautifully finished, fresh and modern, with antiques and gorgeous decor. There was an ensuite shower and toilet, plus a kettle and refreshments. Breakfast included delicious homemade crepes. We had to leave early for our ferry, so Marie kindly went to the local boulangerie at 6.15 am to pick up fresh-to-order croissants, pan au chocolat, and white and wholemeal french stick. Such a thoughtful gesture, especially at that hour. The continental breakfast was lovely too.

They didn't have the room I'd booked, and wouldn't honor the Expedia rate.

The hostess was thoughtful and generous, and nearby towns are only a short distance away. It's a wonderful place to stay right by the beach. We'd love to return!

The host was wonderful, took great care of the guests, and gave us useful sightseeing advice. The rooms and shared areas were all lovely, the house is in a great location, and breakfast was generous. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.
