Les Cours Du Clain

A fantastic spot in the middle of Poitiers urban Park, with wild deer running around. The host was brilliant and helpful. Thank you.

The pool was excellent, and the place was beautiful in general. Our room had a lovely French style, and the location was exceptional. The bathroom and kitchen were comfortable too, with a stove, microwave, mini fridge, and a small table for preparing food. There was an antique cabinet stocked with glasses, cutlery, and cups. Outside, the garden had a little table and three chairs. Cute! The one thing I regretted was the gravel. I couldn’t roll my suitcases over it and had a hard time carrying them. Breakfast was nothing special: honey, cereal, juice, American coffee, jam, butter, and baguette.

Madame Aubin was a wonderful host and served a delicious breakfast. We could have a key to the beautiful house and come and go as we pleased. In summer, there’s also a swimming pool in the well-kept garden. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with a story behind each object if you ask the owner. We stayed one night in Poitiers at this warm and welcoming property beside the Clain River, just a few minutes from the historic centre.

Fabienne made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast was generous. The beds were very comfortable, and the garden is stunning. A perfect place to recharge. I highly recommend it.
